About

Scott Wilcox founded Sicuro Group in Dubai in 2005 and led it for twenty years, building it from a start-up to operations in more than 140 countries with a 24-hour crisis response centre.

Under his leadership the firm led on-the-ground responses to Cyclone Idai in Mozambique 2019, the Afghanistan withdrawal 2021, the 2024 Lebanon escalation and the 2026 Gulf conflict. It flew the first civilian Covid-19 repatriation flights in and out of Iraq in 2020 and secured the first private security licence issued under the Taliban government in 2022.

A former Royal Marines Commando, he stepped back from day-to-day leadership in 2026 and remains a shareholder. He now advises international investors, boards and family offices on entering and operating in complex markets, independently, at scottjwilcox.com.
