Satellite and Tracking Communications for a Remote Mine
An African mining company, operating in a remote area of Democratic Republic of Congo had concerns over their communications and security, particularly of their lone workers.
Sicuro’s satellite phones with tracking capabilities were deployed with all personnel operating around the site. This enabled calls to be made at any time but also the operations manager to locate and monitor his employees movements. Geo-fence boundary crossings were applied for prohibited zones and points of interest were set (for the closest medical centre for example) which created better situational awareness and emergency response.
